Trip for Australia
1997.3
During March 8 through to 14 in 1997, I've been to Australia alone on business and it was first time for me to visit there.

It was rather short trip, but I visited Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney in four days. That is, there was no enough time for sightseeing.

The left side photograph is a view of entrance of Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
I found that it is rather difficult to catch a taxi on traffic in Canberra. Also I understood that all public area such as restaurants, museum and hotels is no smoking by the Law of Australian State.

The left side photograph is the Parliament House in Canberra.
After finishing a job in Canberra, I looked for a wild Kangaroo in the suburbs of Canberra. But, it couldn't.

The photograph shows the Cocking Green in Ginninderra located in the suburbs of Canberra. It is a miniature version of England.
The photograph shows the Sydney Opera House which is very famous view.

When I visited there in 1997, so many Olympic goods were sold in the city because Olympic game will be coming up three years later.
When I stayed in Sydney, I visited the Blue Mountains National Park which is located about 100 km far from the West direction of Sydney.

An extensive nature is extended with wonderful view in this area.
On my way for returning from the Blue Mountains National Park, I visited the Wildlife Park located about 41 km from the West direction of Sydney. And fortunately, I could meet many Kangaroo here.
In the Wildlife Park, I also could meet many Koalas. The photograph shows that.

I heard from a staff of the park that it is recently prohibited to hold a Koala by Australian State Law for the purpose of tourism. But, I could see Koalas with very closely.

At the end of trip, I was very lucky that I could meet many Koalas and Kangaroos. And I want to visit Australia again with my family if we have a chance.
