Fossils in Choshi Peninsula
May 1, 2002
This corner introduces some fossils that we gathered at the Choshi Peninsula, Chiba-Prefecture, Japan which is located about 100 km south-east direction from Tokyo. The formation in this area consists of two different layers of which Pliocene (5 million years ago) and Cretaceous (140 million years ago) epochs.
Due to my poor knowledge, many of the fossils here are still unidentified at the moment. So, if you would send us any of your comment, we would appreciate you very much. Thank you.
